Cross Carpathians - Eagle XC Cup 2005 in Romania
Although
the Carpathians do not reach the height of the Alps,
they are same beautiful and spectacular. Every year thousands of tourists
are attracted by the fresh, clean air and the breathtaking, lonely
landscapes.
At a sunny plateau, 1.000 metres above sea level Poiana-Brasov is
located. A modern ski resort in winter times, in summer times a paradise
for hiker, climber, mountain biker and for sure, for paraglider.
At
the first September weekend Romanian pilots met there for their Eagle
XC Cup 2005, to nominate their cross-country-champions. From
a helicopter MadMikeKüng presented daily his aerobattle shows.
Newest highlight in his program: the Infinity Tumble. All spectators
were counting loudly how often Mike was rotating uprighty above the
canopy.
And
in what are the Romanians specialised besides flying? To
party! In the evenings rock concerts took place and finally they made
an impressive fireworks.
Thanks to the organisator and all helpers!
Special thanks to George Marinescu!
