Balloonglow,
fox hunting, ballooning parties and lots of music and fun
- that’s what you get at the Tegernsee Valley Mongolfiade.
30 balloons went up into the air in Bad Wiessee at the end of
January. And on Saturday, ad Mike was hanging from one
of the balloons. Normally, takeoff is just routine.

But
this time it was rather dangerous. Just after takeoff,
the balloon basket touched a tree and Mike had to fight
his way out of the foliage, a narrow escape. |

The
rest went very well. When the balloon had reached an altitude
of 1000m Mike opened the hook and within a fraction of
a second his glider was completely open. He also ignited the smoke
cartridge and his whole AcroShow was written on the sky. |
